Approximately 35 teenagers between the ages of 14 – 17 assembled at Carlton Park on the evening of 2nd July. In some cases the kids were being sick as they were so inebriated and were upsetting walkers and other legitimate users of the park.
They were approached by two local residents and were given 15 minutes to clear up the mess of bottles and boxes which were strewn over the field. After the 15 minutes the two residents returned to find that nothing had changed and therefore the Police were called. The Police duly arrived and detained many of the offenders. This sort of behaviour should not be tolerated and residents are reminded to call 999 if they experience similar issues.
I have shamelessly copied this important item from the SADCIC website:

The street view that was restricted to London and other large cities is now available nationwide. Simply put, this means what you can browse to a street view by dragging the little yellow person to the map. Almost all of Brook Farm Road and the connecting roads and mews are covered.
Congratulations to A to B for getting a free ad as their cab is shown along with the contact telephone number.

It does have limited night vision but is a lot better during the day.
Note: I have just read the title of this post again think I should have entered that as “Saxmundham Web Cam” to ensure clarity. Mind you, nothing that interesting ever happens in Sax, especially in BFR :)

From the LHS Headmaster’s communication to parents. Clearly suggests the closure of Sax Middle is definite as of July 2012. Once again the council fails miserably in communicating with its stakeholders. It now seems definite we will be lumbered with another set of derelict, unused buildings in the town. Also, it would seem the potential of siting the new high school in Sax has obviously been dismissed, again without communication.
“School Organisation Review/BSF and the future
The County Council Cabinet failed to make a final decision on the arrangements for the Leiston Pyramid for 2012 before the local government elections back in May. In this situation, a Schools Adjudicator is appointed to make the decision after speaking to all parties and after reading all submissions. This will happen by half term. The Local Authority (following representations by myself and the Middle School Headteachers) has given an undertaking that they will endeavour to use Building Schools For the Future (BSF) monies from the Lowestoft wave to create a new teaching block on our site with sufficient capacity for us to accommodate all students in 2012. This will not affect adversely any future rebuild of the school. This is positive news and reduces significantly the unwelcome possibility of a split site in 2012. However, we must monitor the proposals carefully and need to start work now on what additional build we will need based on a curriculum plan for 2012.
Developments are moving fast locally, with a joint Professional Development Day with the middle school staff on October 23, regular meetings between the Leadership Groups of the three schools and discussion at governor level about possible federation.
